Customer Account Specialist

Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Customer Account Specialist is responsible for maintaining and optimizing customer accounts by addressing and resolving customer inquiries and problems, processing orders, preparing services orders, tracking quotes, and resolving billing issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

All employees at TLX work to satisfy the customer. Each department has expected core responsibilities, but these responsibilities do not define us. Rather, they simply provide a starting point where we work to satisfy the customer, continuously improve ourselves, others and the organization.

  • Provides accurate and timely information regarding the status of open orders to customers and TLX staff.
  • Tracks stock and production levels to ensure customer’s needs are being met in a timely fashion.
  • Prepares all assigned reports, documents, letters and correspondence accurately and on time, including open sales orders, stocking agreements, warranty work, billings, general forecasting, etc.
  • Addresses and resolves customer inquiries, problems and complaints regarding products, services, billing, applications, etc.
  • Creates and maintains customer files.
  • Enters all required information into the computerized systems to create and maintain the customer database, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provides inside support to the outside sales representatives as needed.
  • Completes special projects tailored to enhance skillset.
  • Answers incoming customer telephone calls. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with customers by ensuring the best possible customer satisfaction by providing expertise in the analysis of problems and development and communication of solutions.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or related field) and two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel
  • ERP and Database system/portal navigation experience.
  • Experience solving practical problems dealing with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Typing proficiency

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
  • This is a 40-hour-per-week position with regular hours of 7:30 am-4:00pm.
  • Occasional option to travel may be presented.
