Production Line Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of an assigned production line
  • Train, coach, and develop production assemblers
  • Monitor and improve run-rates, labor efficiency, and product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Maintenance)
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure proper job clock-ins
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through lean manufacturing and 5S principles
  • Serve as a backup to the Production Lead

What You Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proven leadership abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, VSM, and business systems is a plus
  • Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and manage standalone production equipment
  • Clear understanding of assembly techniques, productivity targets, and quality standards

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This role requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand/arm motions. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 45 lbs occasionally. Use of pallet jacks or other mechanical aids may be needed for heavier items up to 1,500 lbs. Occasional kneeling or squatting may be required. Visual demands include depth perception, color recognition, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work is performed in a production environment with moderate noise levels. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
