UL Testing Completed for Supervised Direct-Acting Solenoid Valve
TLX Fire & Security’s Supervised Direct-Acting Solenoid Valve has completed UL testing and is now available to the global fire protection market.
This UL 429 and UL 429A Recognized Component is designed for fire suppression systems with operating pressures up to 150 bar and is compatible with clean agent, inert gas, CO2, and hybrid systems that rely on valve-integrated actuation. The valve body can optionally be configured for selector valve usage.
This solenoid valve features the same patented integrated supervision as our linear electric actuators for fire suppression and meets NFPA 2001: Sec. 4.3.4.1 and EN 15004-1 supervision requirements.
This solution is composed of a removable coil assembly and a threaded valve body. The coil housing is made from electroless nickel-plated carbon steel, and the valve body can be made from either brass or stainless steel, depending on the requirements of your system.
In its standard configuration, the valve body contains a release valve and can be specified with either 1/8” or 1/4” NPT threads. When configured for a selector valve, the valve body is replaced with a coupler that can be fully customized to fit the selector valve.
The coil assembly freely rotates for easy installation and features a captured fastener to prevent misplacement of the fastener when the coil is removed for testing and maintenance. The fastener also ensures full placement of the coil on the valve body, giving technicians confidence that installation is complete.
