A Solenoid Pinch Valve for Precise Fluid Dispensing
Customer Problem
The fluid processing industry has always faced challenges finding solenoid pinch valves that reliably dispense precise volumes of fluid. Many such valves can leak because they do not completely close. Additionally, many of these valves are often unable to accommodate multiple tube diameters without altering the package size. Several factors must be considered when designing a solenoid pinch valve that dispenses fluid with precision, such as the intended fluid medium, tube material and diameter, and closing force.
The TLX Solution
TLX Technologies developed a solenoid pinch valve that has a high closing force in a small package size and can accommodate tube sizes up to 10 mm in diameter in the same size valve body. The valve can be scaled to accommodate larger tube sizes if needed. A continuous duty solenoid delivers the necessary closing force to completely stop fluid flow. It also features a diode for back EMF protection.
