Senior Design Engineer
What You’ll Do:
- Lead product design from concept through production launch
- Conduct design analysis, risk assessments, and manufacturability reviews
- Participate in and facilitate design reviews, capturing lessons learned
- Use CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) for modeling and documentation
- Manage prototype generation, lab testing, and engineering documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interface with customers and suppliers
- Support root cause analysis and quality tools such as FMEA, DVP&R, and PPAP
- Guide and mentor Design Engineers, contributing to team development
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering tools, processes, and standards
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various materials and processes
- Experience working directly with customers and suppliers
- Solid understanding of COGS, lean principles, and manufacturing constraints
- Skilled in FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, and AIAG-based processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Stage-Gate, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and SPC
- Experience using Ansoft or other magnetic FEA software

Physical Demands
