Receiving Associate

TLX Technologies is seeking a dependable and highly detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate inventory and material flow throughout our facility.

The Receiving Associate is responsible for unloading and receiving incoming materials, verifying shipments, completing system transactions, monitoring stock and material details, and ensuring materials are handled and routed accurately. This position also provides quality support and cross-trains in Shipping as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Unload incoming freight and complete receiving documentation
• Verify part numbers, quantities, revision levels, and product quality against purchase orders and prints
• Receive materials accurately into the MRP system
• Maintain accurate receiving paperwork, certifications, and inventory records
• Pay close attention to stock levels, inventory locations, quantities, and material movement to help prevent inventory discrepancies
• Label and route materials to the correct inventory location, department, or employee
• Safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment
• Identify and communicate material-handling, inventory, or receiving discrepancies before they create downstream issues
• Perform incoming inspections and other quality-support activities as needed
• Cross-train in Shipping, including basic shipping transactions and packaging
• Follow established quality, safety, and material-handling procedures

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Previous forklift experience
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn and accurately use an MRP/inventory system
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with part numbers, quantities, stock levels, inventory locations, and documentation
• Ability to recognize and help address material-handling and inventory issues
• Ability to work accurately while managing multiple receiving priorities
• Dependable and organized with good communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Knowledge of FedEx and UPS shipping systems is preferred. Blueprint-reading experience is a plus, but training can be provided.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position in a manufacturing and receiving environment. The role requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling. Employees must regularly lift and/or move 25–50 lbs. and work around loading docks, trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manufacturing equipment.
