Three-Position Latching Solenoid

This solenoid’s armature had three positions: fully extended, centered, or fully retracted.

The three-position latching solenoid’s unique design used only one spring to hold the armature in the center position, which made it easier to assemble and improved center-position tolerance. Patented shunt rings were installed next to the poles to increase pull-in force.
