Automated Production Cell Slated to Begin Production in September 2016

TLX has installed an automated production cell to produce components for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Two FANUC robots will assemble and test each component in less than 22 seconds, and the annual production capacity is expected to be 500,000 pieces.
The production cell includes testing stations and a serial numbering system. Each component will be tested for hi-pot, leak, force, and resistance, and the serial number system will make build and test data traceable to each individual component.
The cell is scheduled to begin full-scale production in early September.
