The new, semi-automated production cell at TLX Technologies is prepped to enter production early next month for our newest automotive program. The cell which contains two FANUC robots has been developed to produce and test each part in less than 22 seconds. At this current rate, annual production capacity is set to exceed 500,000 annually.
The integrated testing designed into the cell include hi-pot, leak, force and resistance testing for each part. The serial numbering system allows for build and test data to be traceable on each produced part ensuring that quality production of finished goods is maintained across the life of the program. By integrating both the build and testing of the component into the cell, TLX has been able to minimize time spent on producing each component.
